Schedule
Morning technique
classes (2hrs):
Each technique
class is a single journey to open our bodies to different approaches to
contact and to improvisation. Starting with a smooth and calm warm up
to connect us to our basic breathing, we will then build awareness and
listening and utilize exercises to give us skills such as being
centered, accepting gravity, feeling on and off balance, interacting
with the environment, dancing alone, with a partner or with the group
in harmony. We will also work on floor exercises (such as rolling),
falling and supporting, and sliding.
Afternoon scores
and jams (3 hrs):
We will focus on
improvisation scores connected to the main exercises in the morning
class. It would allow us to experience dancing freely by proposition of
instantaneous compositions and direct choreographies on site
(inside/outside). This will enable to us to develop sensitive exchanges
with one another and we will end with an open jam and exchange ideas
via dialogue.

Contact
Improvisation
CONTACT IMPROVISATION is a dance form where the
physical contact between two people provides the starting point for
movement exploration. This is done via active perception to subtle
shifts in weight, balance, and momentum. Contact improvisation
encourages the development of a creative mind, engenders spontaneity
and expands ones physical abilities.
